PYRAN S (E) is a borosilicate float fire-rated safety glass that meets EN 1364 standards. It has high transmittance in the visible and UV spectral regions and maintains transparency during a fire to facilitate firefighting efforts. PYRAN S (E) combines the unique properties of borosilicate glass and the float process to produce an extremely high-quality product. It meets the requirements of protection classes from E 30 to E 120. It’s important to note that fire-rated windows do not function in isolation – they only work as part of a system involving the glass, the framing and anchoring, and the building’s structure. The glass panel will likely fail if the framing or anchoring system is not fire-resistant. We will provide you with a qualified engineer to help you create the ideal design for your fire-resistant project.

Technical Specifications

PYRAN S (E) uses borosilicate glass to ensure a natural colour and 100% transparency during fires. These panels can also be made with anti-reflective properties on both sides.

Our sophisticated inventory management system and robust processes enable us to deliver the required panels quickly.

We can customise PYRAN S (E) panels to incorporate additional processes such as ceramic-frit, sandblasting

PYRAN S (E) is fully toughened to meet all safety standards and building codes. The panels have zero NiS crystals, minimising the risk of spontaneous cracks.

PYRAN S (E) has exemplary chemical resistance and can be used in chemical and oil facilities.
