PYRAN FUSION (EW) combines the properties of speciality float glass with a gel layer that foams up when there’s a fire. The panels are rated 180 minutes for integrity, 120 minutes for radiation control, and 20 minutes for insulation. You can customise the panels based on architectural requirements. All PYRAN FUSION (EW) panels satisfy the latest fire-rated glazing requirements in accordance with EN 1364. Additionally, the glass fulfils the integrity, thermal insulation and radiation functions as per clause 5 of EN 13501-2. It’s important to note that fire-resistant windows do not function in isolation – they only work as part of a system involving the glass, the framing and anchoring, and the building’s structure. The glass panel will likely fail if the framing or anchoring system is not fire-resistant. We will provide you with a qualified engineer to help you create the ideal design for your fire-resistant project.
